HRSA: Growth Charts Training
A series of modules learning to use the CDC growth charts. The modules are easy to use and guide the user through them. The modules are a good review for anyone who measures children and/or uses growth charts. One module teaches how to measure children with special needs and how to use the growth charts with them.

ABLE DATA
An excellent resource / database for information about assistive technology (AT). It includes information and resources about AT including wheelchairs, AT for blind and low vision, AT for communication, deaf and hard of hearing, instructional materials, personal care, recreation, and many other categories.

Beachcomber Chair
This is information about sturdy beachchairs.

IRSC: Internet Resource for Special Children
This is an internet resource site with information in many categories about children with disabilities. It includes hundreds of links to associated sites. The response time is fast and information is well organized and easy to find. Topics include a range from adaptive equipment to cerebral palsy to rare diseases.

Therapro
This vendor provides an online catalogue for many products related to children with special needs in the gross motor, fine motor, oral motor, sensory motor, and learning areas.

Family Village: A Global Community of Disability-Related Resources
This website is full of web and other resources related to almost anything you can think of related to either having a disability or taking care of someone with a disability. Some examples include information about recreation, support groups, church programs, adaptive equipment, and specific information about disabilities. This website is worth exploring.

Children’s Disabilities Information: Empowering Parents of Children with Special Needs
This web site is targeted to parents, and has articles and resources on many topics. Topics range from speech and language milestones to autism to sensory integration to advocacy. Information is presented simply and is easy to understand.

National Down Syndrome Society
This site has excellent resources on health, education, development, etc. You can get growth charts for children with Down syndrome, and learn about basic health needs, as well as learn about recent research in how children with Down syndrome learn.

National Down Syndrome Center
This site also has excellent resources. Click on “resources” and then on “healthcare” to get specific information on health issues around Down syndrome.

Directory of Down Syndrome Internet Sites
This site has lots and lots of other Web sites for more information.

St. George’s Medical Center: Learning About Intellectual Disabilities and Health
This site is from the St. George Medical Center in England, and provides good health information about Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities.
